Design for Print

You’d be forgiven for thinking that the internet has all but extinguished the demand for printed marketing material. It hasn’t. ‘Print’ isn’t Betamax. It’s not a fad or phase. It’s a wonderfully effective and proven medium for communicating with customers. It’s banner stands and business cards, stationery and reports, brochures, books and posters. It’s the full-colour gatefold sleeve to the web’s flimsy CD insert…and it’s here to stay.

How can we help your business?

Design for Marketing

Who doesn’t love getting something in the post (bills and speeding fines excluded)? Our job is to make sure you’re lovingly worded mailout ends up on the pinboard and not in the bin.

Book Design & Layout

We’ve been working with publishers and printers since Windows 3.1. That’s before the internet (well, almost), Oasis, Tamagotchis and the original Xbox. Which is to say, we’re more than happy to get our fingers inky on your behalf.

Why pay to advertise your product or service in a newspaper or magazine? Transparency – that’s why. Off the bat, you know what it’s going to cost you and roughly how many readers are going to see your ad. You can work with a designer to make sure your ad attracts attention. And best of all, you won’t get within a mile of a bloomin’ Google algorithm.

Why Print Still Matters

Vinyl LP cover vs CD. Print offers the scope to be creative in ways a website can't.
Quality is cheap. Digital printers are now so good it's practically impossible to tell offset and digital apart.
It's tangible. You can't pin a web page on a pinboard.

POP QUIZ! You've launched your new website. It's brilliant (of course it is, we helped you create it!). Now, you want to tell your customers because you know they'll love it too. Bob in marketing wants to get an emailer out as soon as possible to spread the good news. So....should you listen to Bob?
We say: Look, Bob's a nice chap and all that but take a breath and try to remember the last time you had your socks blown off by an emailer landing in your inbox. You can't? Don't fret - you're not alone. Email campaigns are all well and good for product offers and touching base with your fans, but for big announcements we think you need to get really creative to make an impact. Fortunate for you, we're bursting with ideas to transform your message into something your customers want to photograph and post on their Insta feed!

The Innovation Press

In the words of Asia Citro, founder and inspiration behind The Innovation Press, this US publisher of learning-driven children’s books are “small but mighty.” Their books have been recognized by The New York Public Library (Best Books for Kids), The Chicago Public Library (The Best of the Best), The National Science Teachers’ Association Kirkus, School Library Journal, Booklist and more. One only has to examine the Press’s ever-expanding catalogue to understand why they are held in such high regard; the drive to inspire and spark the imaginations of their readers remains at the forefront of what they do. We’ve been fortunate to have worked with Asia since 2017, working on the design and layout of dozens of her company’s wonderful books. Personally, we adore the Zoey and Sassafras series…available here!
